Alita is a multi-faceted creative director, based in Toronto, with experience across five cities, three continents, and many great brands.
As an experienced independent contractor, Alita works closely with start-ups, marketing teams, and agencies, taking on roles as a conceptual designer or a leader of creative teams. Her workflow encompasses various aspects such as design strategy, branding, brand architecture, spatial and experiential design, UI design, packaging, and editorial design. Additionally, she provides art direction for a range of campaign types, including traditional, stunt, digital, and social media development. She works independently and seamlessly in team environments, mentoring junior collaborators, pitching, liaisoning with clients, outsourcing talent, developing trend research and lecturing. Additionally, she acts as a mentor and sessional instructor at OCAD University, and can usually be found baking up a mess with the kiddo.
She contributed to the global branding and pictogram design for the XVII Pan American Games. Her portfolio also includes the design of immersive light installations for Nuit Blanche and the NCC. Notably, she recently contributed to the DesignTO 2024 judging panel.
